クチの地下道 Củ Chi中

クチの地下道（-ちかどう、ベトナム語: Địa đạo Củ Chi / 地道枸枝）は、ベトナムのホーチミン市クチ県を中心とした、全長200kmの地下トンネルネットワークである。ベトナム戦争中に、南ベトナム解放民族戦線によってゲリラ戦の根拠地として作られ、ここよりカンボジアとの国境付近までトンネルが張り巡らされていた。戦時中、南ベトナム解放民族戦線の兵士たちは様々な工夫をして、狭いトンネル内に身を潜めて暮らしており、当時の生活の様子や戦争中に使われた罠の数々が、戦争史跡公園として残されている。

Worth a visit, but a tourist trap. Most package tours do not included the 110,000 VND entry fee so bring cash! If you can afford it, best to get a taxi & go early to avoid crowds. They open at 7am.

These tunnels are really small, and really hot. After you make it to a room, you'll want to pay one of those skinny little girls to pull you back out by your arms - bring a skateboard to lay on!

Simply a MUST VISIT destination - fascinating construction and history. I'm fairly claustrophobic but the tunnels you go down we're nothing to worry about. Just need strong calf muscles!

Enjoyable & interesting. If you have the time, rather than this one, the ones at Ben Duoc are more authentic, these are modified for tourists. The shooting range at the end is strange though....
